Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2018 Perform-a-thon. Through your collective efforts we were able to raise close to $2,500 for Festival fee subsidies, and scholarships to attend the 2019 Provincials. Stay tuned for eligibility criteria.
Perform-A-Thon
What is a Perform-a-thon?
The BVMF Perform-a-thon is a day-long fundraising and special performance event in celebration of the Bow Valley Music Festival, Canada Music Week and Music Education in the Bow Valley.
All funds raised during this Perform-a-thon will be in support of The BVMF Scholarships and Festival Accessibility.
How do I participate?
Ask your teacher if you are ready to perform. Your teacher can help you decide what piece or pieces you can have prepared, and help you come up with a plan to practice and get ready for the event.
Fill out the Performer Entry Form
Collect donations from sponsors on your donation pledge sheet.
Mail your application form into the administrator by October 30, 2018. Please include your entry fee of $25.00 or your donations of a minimum of $25.00. If your donations raised surpass $50.00 your name will be entered in a draw to win a gift Certificate from Long and McQuade for $100.00.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is more than one performer allowed per time slot?
Yes. Ensembles are welcomed. There is a maximum of two individual solo performers allowed per time slot.
Does the registration fee need to be paid by each performer in a time slot?
No. The registration fee of $25.00 is per time slot regardless of the number of performers however each performer is encouraged to find their own donation pledges.
Will tax receipts be given for donations?
No. Tax receipts are not issued for any donations.
Can I perform unaccompanied?
Yes. Performers may perform accompanied or unaccompanied. Accompanist are the responsibility of the performer
What kind of equipment will be available for performers to use?
A piano, chairs, microphone, and music stands will be available for performers to access. Please list your requirements on the entry form when asked.
